The Korean version of Human Rights Methods in Social Work (HRMSW) is a tool developed to assess social workers¡¯ understanding and performance of the human rights-based practice. To collect data, a questionnaire survey was conducted on 401 social workers at senior welfare centers located in Busan. The psychometric properties of the HRMSW were tested by item analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, convergent validity, nomological validity, and discriminant validity with SPSS 26.0 and AMOS 25.0. The Korean version of HRMSW scale consists of 42 questions under 8 factors: participation, nondiscrimination, strengths perspective, micro-macro integration, capacity building, community & interdisciplinary collaboration, activism, and accountability. It was found that the reliability and validity of the Korean version of HRMSW were verified. The Korean version of the HRMSW scale can be a useful tool to understand and evaluate the gerontological social work field through a human rights paradigm. Here, we discuss the ways in which this tool can be used to educate social workers and to guarantee the rights of service users and the older adults in the local community.
